Chachran Sharif, (Nov 2, 2013): Main entrance of Fakhriya Masjid, built by Khawaja Farid's elder brother, Khawaja Fakhar Jahan. Khawaja Ghulam Farid (1841-1901), famous Sufi poet from Chachran Sharif, Rahim Yar Khan enjoys a wide respect in Pakistan, particularly former princely state of Bahawalpur, which later became famous as Khawaja Farid’s Rohi. People of the area have a strong affiliation with the message of peace, love and harmony Khawaja Farid spread through his poetry, which is also need of the hour in context the society has started hosting hardliner, radical Islamists who are propagating intolerance against minorities.
