Parents concern over fee hike

PESHAWAR: The parents in the Gulberg locality in Peshawar cantonment expressed concern over a fee increase of the private school and asked the relevant authorities to look into the matter.
Talking to the express tribune, they said the school administration increased the fee and other charges, every year without any justification.
A group of students studying at Sarhad Model School complained that the fee had increased Rs1100 to 1400.
They said the students were made to pay Rs 200 in the name of laboratory charges, despite the fact they are studying arts subject.
When contacted to the school principal she said the fee was increased in proportion to the prize hike and inflation.
She said most of the schools had jacked up to meet the rising expenses.
When asked why arts students had to pay Rs200 for the laboratory charges, she said the arts students were also taught one of the science subject that was the reason for charging Rs200 per month.
