SHeM’s Monthly Kids Day Out Project

CAVITE, Philippines, July 16 -- Shepherd’s Heart Family Ministry (SHeM) will hold their monthly Kids Day Out Project at Kanluran area, Longos, Bacoor, Cavite on Saturday, July 21, 2012.

“The kids, ages 5-12 years old, that we cater belong to depressed communities. This month, we will visit a small community of floating houses at Kanluran area, Longos, Bacoor, Cavite.”, said Sis. Roselle Manalili-Apostol, Media Ministry Head and Children’s Ministry Coordinator of SHeM.

The Kids Day Out Project of SHeM gives children an opportunity to play, have fun, visit places they’ve never been before due to poverty, enjoy free meals, and most of all, understand and adapt positive values from different bible stories.

It started last year but was postponed due to insufficient funds. However, Bro. Rhuden Javier, Administrative Pastor of the ministry, suggested that the project be resumed on May 2012, thanks to the new sponsors here and abroad that requested to remain unknown.

“It is not that easy. But, when you know that it is God’s will for you, knowing that little souls will benefit, everything’s’ worth it.”, Sis. Roselle added.

Members of the SHeM believed that God organized them to direct children towards the right path of life. “As little as they are, they are also souls that need to know Jesus Christ and to be trained towards becoming powerful Christian individuals. If not leaders in the future, they may give due glory unto God.”, Sis. Roselle ended.
