THE TRUTH THAT MUST BE TOLD...
Over the years, the world especially, The Christendom has been enmeshed with false doctrines. So many false evangelists have emerged, misinterpreting the Holy Scriptures (Bible) to suit their selfish interest.
The Feast of Pentecost also known as Harvest festival can be read in the holy scripture (Bible) in Lev. 23 vs. 15-22, Deut. 12 vs. 9-12, Acts 2 vs. 1-42, Acts 20 vs. 16, Num. 28 vs. 26-31, Deut 16 vs. 9-12, Joel 2 vs. 28-29, Cor 16 vs. 7-8
The feast of Pentecost is one of God's SEVEN important feasts. As regards this, God Almight has instructed all mankind to appear before Him on every feast of Passover, Pentecost (Harvest festival) and the feast of Tabernacles also known as Festival of Shelters (Deut. 16 vs. 16). Thus, the three most important religious festivals of God to be celebrated by his people for all time to come.
Nevertheless, the Lord has instructed mankind to celebrate the feast of Pentecost 50 days after the high day Sabbath of the feast of the Passover (Lev 23 vs. 15-16). Hence, the lord has instructed mankind to gather for worship in order to reverence him for the fertile land and fruitful harvests He has given them. However in the former feast (Passover) no food made of feast was eaten, but in this feast, the Lord instructed mankind to come before him with two loaves of bread (two kilograms) made with feast.
There's no iota of doubt that worship without sacrifice worship is incomplete. Thus, the feast of Pentecost is accompanied with sacrifices of praises, burnt offering, grain offering and wine offering to the Lord, whose smell is pleasing to the Lord (Lev. 23 vs. 18)
Notwithstanding, in the Christendom today many believers explain the Pentecost day to be the day Holy Spirit descended on the apostles of Christ.
My dear voracious readers, I want you to know that the Pentecost day has more explanation than this. Certainly its origin is traced back to the time of the children of Israel (Lev. 23 VS.15-22). Thus, it was just an astonishing coincidence for the Holyspirit to descend on the apostles on that day of the holy convocation when they gathered to observe the great feast of the Lord (Acts. 2 vs. 1-13).
Dear readers, remember that while Jesus was still on earth, he promised his disciples that he was leaving them to go and prepare an everlasting paradise for the righteous, but that notwithstanding, he is going to send a comforter (Holyspirit), who will come down upon them and teach them some hidden TRUTHS about what he didn't teach them as his father had promised (Luke 24 vs. 49, John 14 vs. 15-31, John 16 vs. 4-15).
Howbeit, the feast of Pentecost, being one of God's covenant that He made with mankind is so important because of the blessings that accompany it. Thus, that is the main reason why Paul an apostle of faith made everything possible to arrive in Jerusalem as he left Miletus so as not to miss the feast of Pentecost (Acts 20 vs. 16).
Moreso, in another portion of the Bible Paul the renowned apostle of Christ whom many believe he was a breaker of the laws of God, but to the contrary, also made everything possible to stay behind in Ephesus until the day of Pentecost, so as to observe this important feast of the Lord (1 Corinthians 16 vs. 8).
Without much ado, there's no iota of doubt that the feast of Pentecost is an everlasting covenant God made with mankind and can never be broken. Thus, neither Christ, the prophets nor the apostles are rebels to God's covenant.
Therefore, my dear voracious and ardent readers, let's all join hands to uphold the true doctrines of GOD ALMIGHTY to avoid the calamities that must befall the unfaithfuls (Isaiah 66 vs. 22-23, Isaiah 24 vs. 1-end).
SHALOM!
